Areas of Expertise

Starting her legal career as a university intern with Carter Ferguson in 2017, Rachael now practices in the areas of Wills and Estates and general commercial disputes.

Rachael graduated from the University of Wollongong in June 2019 with a double degree in Law & Psychological Science. Rachael completed the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law and was admitted to the Supreme Court in October 2019. To further her knowledge, Rachael is currently studying a Masters of Law (Applied Law) majoring in Wills & Estates.

Rachael’s experience includes equity claims in the Supreme Court including family provision claims and disputes regarding the validity of wills and codicils and a testator’s testamentary capacity. Rachael also has experience working on contested intestate estates and assists clients with applications to the Supreme Court for grants of Letters of Administration and Probate. Rachael prides herself on bringing an empathetic and compassionate approach when assisting clients through what is often a difficult and stressful time.

Rachael also has experience representing clients in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) in both the Consumer and Commercial Division in relation to commercial and building and construction disputes and contested Financial Management and Guardianship Applications in the Guardianship Division.

Rachael thoroughly enjoys the challenges of working in the legal industry and thrives on its dynamic nature as she is constantly learning and developing her knowledge.

Rachael considers herself to be a South Coast local despite being born in England and spending her childhood in America. Outside of work she loves spending time with her energetic Groodle puppy and exploring the many cafés of the South Coast & Illawarra.

The only solicitors that could help me straight away with a complex issue, Rachael was very thorough and professional. Highly recommended :)
