Steph grew up in Gerringong, attending the Public School there and Kiama High School, before moving to Sydney to complete a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences and a Juris Doctor at the University of Sydney. Steph completed study in London, Singapore, Kathmandu and Shanghai as part of her degree programs.
Before being admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2021, Steph worked at a top tier Law firm in Sydney, primarily in Corporate Finance and Property Finance practice areas. After joining Carter Ferguson in August 2021, Steph has dealt with a wide range of matters, reflecting the diversity of legal problems that arise in regional legal practice. Steph particularly enjoys estate planning, commercial transactions and property disputes.
Outside of the Law, Steph has experience leading operations for a FinTech start up, running an accelerator program for FinTech start ups at a venture capital firm, and as a Management Consultant at a top tier management consultancy. As a consultant, Steph worked on business improvement projects across tertiary education, mining, the federal public service, food production and utilities. This generalist experience enables Steph to better understand and relate to the wide variety of challenges faced by her clients.
The pandemic brought Steph and her partner home to Gerringong in 2020 and they haven’t looked back, moving to Gerroa and settling into the wonderful coastal lifestyle that her gorgeous hometown provides. Outside of work, you’ll find Steph at the beach, making homemade pasta or hanging out with family and friends.
