Areas of Expertise

Cameron studied a Bachelor of Laws graduating with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology.

Cameron then worked in the Property and Commercial team of a mid tier firm before working in the Real Property Team of one of Australia’s five top tier firms. The experience of working in a mid tier firm provided Cameron with a valuable experience in working with mums and dads and small business, while the top tier exposed Cameron to significant domestic and international property transactions. In 2017 Kiama beckoned and Cameron decided to return home with his wife and two girls (who attend Kiama Public School as Cameron did) and join Carter Ferguson Solicitors.

Cameron has brought with him expertise in all manner of property and commercial transactions, including leasing and acting for buyers and sellers of residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and rural property. Since being back in Kiama Cameron has developed his practice further in the areas of NSW planning and environment law, NSW strata law and Old System title, and he enjoys working and advising in the commercial law and wills and estates areas.

Cameron’s experience extends beyond his legal career. Prior to studying law Cameron worked as a physiotherapist in Australia and the United Kingdom in private practice, hospitals and for various local and Australian sporting organisations. Cameron’s desire to keep educating himself resulted in him completing the widely respected Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment and he was presented with the state award in Derivatives Trading.

Since returning to Kiama Cameron has served on the Kiama and District Business Chamber Board where he is the current President. Cameron is also a committee member for Destination Kiama and a passionate supporter of local initiatives such as the Man Walk and Fathering Project.

On weekends you’ll still be able to catch Cameron, however he may be on a beach, spending time with family or racing his girls around to weekend activities, and always with a smile on his face.Cameron studied a Bachelor of Laws graduating with Honours at the Queensland University of Technology.
